EMBS is currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turner Programmer to join a well-established, reputable precision engineering company located in Sheffield, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position, DBS checks will be required. Our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.

Key Benefits on offer:

  • Circa £17.50 - £18.00 per hour 
  • Day shift - Mon to Thurs - 6:00 - 14:20, Friday - 6:00 - 12:00 
  • Flexible start times in the morning of 1 hour from 6 am
  • Overtime available at x 1.5 after 39 hours and x 2 on Sundays 
  • Annual pay reviews

Your responsibilities include:

  • Setting, operating, and programming 3-axis CNC lathes using Fanuc controls 
  • Working with exotic materials such as Inconel and Monel to machine critical components industry 
  • Machining to tight tolerances 
  • Following engineering drawings  



Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Candidates must be apprentice trained 
  • Must be able to set, operate, and program CNC Lathes using Fanuc controls 
  • Have a knowledge of Manual Guide I
  • Previous experience working with exotic materials 
  • Experience machining to tight tolerances 
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings


Desirable:

  • Previous experience machining components for the Oil & Gas industry is desirable
