My client based in Sheffield is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within heavy industry, specifically within automation and process controls. The role is very hands on with emphasis on continuous improvement supporting the Engineering and Operations teams.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • To supervise and carry out maintenance work activities
  • Efficient planing and executive of all electrical maintenance
  • To supervise a small team of other technicians, and the occasional contractor
  • Preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Testing of equipment and systems on site
  • To respond to call outs during business hours, and outside of this where required
  • Control, maintenance and repair of all PLC, SCADA, HMI and Drives
  • To attend daily and weekly meetings to discuss workload and plan corrective actions
  • Feedback data entry to establish maintenance KPIs
  • Assist to create and maintain the department budget and finance objectives
  • Participate in various continuous improvement activities across the site

Requirements:

  • Time Served or HNC in any Electrical Engineering disciplines
  • A proven track record of working in heavy industry with supervisory experience
  • Experienced in the installation of electrical control systems including AC / DC drives, variable frequency drives, closed loop control with positioning systems
  • Experience with monitoring equipment, install and commissioning of vibration and temperature detection
  • Computer literate
  • To be able to read electrical drawings, process and control diagrams

Rate: 45-50k

Hours:40hrs per week, 2 shift pattern
