Job Title: Site Agent Permanent

Location: Sheffield (S25) 5 days a week on site

Hours: 35 hours per week, mainly working night shifts

Salary: £50,000 depending upon experience plus £7,500 car allowance

Overview:

As the Site Agent, you will manage the construction site to ensure safe, high-quality project delivery, meeting customer objectives on time and within budget. You will collaborate with the commercial team, engineers, and surveyors to achieve optimal performance while maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards. You will be reporting to the Project Manager.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • 4-5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the civil engineering sector.
  • Extensive senior-level site management experience in construction and civil engineering.
  • Proven expertise in design and build projects, including bridges, reinforced concrete, drainage, and transportation structures.
  • Skilled in plant, labour, material management, cost control, procurement, and contract management.
  • Experience liaising with clients, local authorities, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of utilities, highways, and Network Rail assets (light rail experience is a plus).
  • Proficient in financial and commercial reporting, including cost/budget administration.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts, CDM regulations, design, programme, and risk management.
  • In-depth understanding of civil engineering specifications and testing standards.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • CSCS Manager Card
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
