Project Manager - Required for my client for their established team based out of their office in Sheffield. The Project Manager with have a strong rail background. The Project Manager will work on Network Rail and rail related infrastructure contracts to the required performance expectations. The Project Manager must have a valid PTS, and experience in the management of high-volume work banks of framework contracts. The Project Manager will either work on the management of multiple reactive work sites or the lead a delivery team for planned works.

Project Manager Position Overview

  • Management of client and rail related infrastructure contracts
  • Liaise with Client personnel and represent
  • Maintain and develop client relationships on the basis of mutual trust and high standards of contract performance
  • Liaise with WDMs and commercial team to review estimate submissions and final account details
  • Provide technical support, guidance and practical advice
  • Ensure management of Insight 2 and the client database (Atrium) for all assigned WDMs
  • Requisition of major items of temporary works and permanent works materials, sub-contractors, plant and equipment necessary to achieve the contract delivery as per delegated levels of authority.
  • Lead and implement professional safety behaviour and culture throughout the business, promoting positive change in everyday activities
  • Two employment references, a Drugs & Alcohol and medical test

Project Manager Position Requirements

  • HND or higher/ NVQ 6-7 in Construction
  • APM qualification would be highly beneficial
  • 5 years' experience of managing reactive Buildings and Civils Works Delivery Frameworks Civil Engineering Construction work
  • Management of multiple reactive work sites or the ability to lead a delivery team
  • Management of project works £up to £250k
  • Working within a Railway Sector
  • Building & Civils and earthworks experience
  • PTS also a CSCS card, NEBOSH, COSS, SMSTS are highly desirable
  • Cost monitoring and Report writing experience
