Your new companyA well established company Sheffield are looking to appoint a Project Manager, to oversee the successful delivery of all projects. Their projects include highway maintenance, construction, road safety and civil engineering. Our client has secured long-term frameworks with reputable clients and are looking to appoint someone on a permanent basis to successfully support them during this busy time.

Your new roleYou will join a team of experienced managers in the end-to-end co-ordination and successful delivery of significant and complex highway projects to internal and external clients. Your main duties will include:

  • Programme management of all highway maintenance works
  • Support in the successful delivery of all projects, ensuring timescales are met accordingly
  • Client liaison
  • Develop maintenance programmes
  • Lead the end-to-end project management on a range of complex and significant projects for the company including time, cost and quality control meeting client and stakeholder requirements.
  • Conduct depot and site inductions.
  • Weekly Health & Safety & Environmental Inspections
  • Ensure Health and Safety management systems, processes and requirements are adhered to across the team, ensuring full adherence to health, safety and environmental legislation, policy and best practice to protect people and the environment.
  • Ensuring that works orders are raised on an asset management system and works are delivered within the intervention timescales as per the contract

What you'll need to succeedYou will have an excellent understanding of highway maintenance works including surfacing, tarmacking, curbing, and have proven experience managing multiple projects at one time. Our client is looking for a strong leader with the ability to manage clients and contractors accordingly.
