Our client specialises in bespoke engineering solutions, tackling complex challenges where precision and rapid deployment are essential. Originally developed for the aerospace sector, their patented technologies are now utilised across a range of manufacturing industries, including automotive, construction, defence, energy, and renewables.Project Manager ā€“ Engineering

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of bespoke engineering projects. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and a solid understanding of engineering principles to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing the commercial performance of projects, coordinating with stakeholders, and leading cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion.

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies.

  • Monitor and report on the commercial performance of projects, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial goals.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues.

  • Ensure projects adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to address them.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Assist in the procurement process for new suppliers and subcontractors and support the purchase of off-the-shelf and subcontracted project items and services.

  • Ensure all project documentation is completed to support ongoing ISO 9001 certification.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualification in PRINCE2, APM, or an equivalent project management methodology.

  • Proven experience in a Project Management role, ideally within an engineering environment.

  • Ability to produce complex project plans.

  • Proficiency in IT systems and project management software.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
