Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading engineering company in Sheffield to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong track record of managing medium to long-term projects, delivering excellence, and driving growth within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager will include:
  • Lead and deliver projects using established governance frameworks and methodologies to provide a "best-in-class" service to customers
  • Manage projects that promote growth and development of the business
  • Develop and implement robust operating procedures and reporting mechanisms
  • Drive engagement and commitment across teams to meet deliverables and objectives within agreed schedules
  • Plan and oversee project budgets, ensuring effective control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate project progress, escalate issues, and facilitate resolutions as needed
  • Proactively identify and manage risks to minimise impacts on time, cost, and quality
  • Implement effective change control processes to align customer needs with project requirements
  • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned to support continuous improvement

The Senior Project Managers will need:

  • Degree-qualified, ideally within an Engineering discipline
  • Certified in project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent
  • Expertise in solution design, cost modelling, and data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle of large-scale, complex technical projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools
  • Strong customer relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead risk governance processes on behalf of Customer Programme Teams
  • Capacity to translate ideas into practical, deliverable solutions
  • Extensive experience in planning and managing project budgets with effective control mechanisms
  • Team leadership and management expertise
  • Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to all levels of an organisation
