Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading engineering company in Sheffield to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong track record of managing medium to long-term projects, delivering excellence, and driving growth within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager will include:- Lead and deliver projects using established governance frameworks and methodologies to provide a "best-in-class" service to customers
- Manage projects that promote growth and development of the business
- Develop and implement robust operating procedures and reporting mechanisms
- Drive engagement and commitment across teams to meet deliverables and objectives within agreed schedules
- Plan and oversee project budgets, ensuring effective control throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate project progress, escalate issues, and facilitate resolutions as needed
- Proactively identify and manage risks to minimise impacts on time, cost, and quality
- Implement effective change control processes to align customer needs with project requirements
- Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned to support continuous improvement
The Senior Project Managers will need:
- Degree-qualified, ideally within an Engineering discipline
- Certified in project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent
- Expertise in solution design, cost modelling, and data analysis
- Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle of large-scale, complex technical projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools
- Strong customer relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead risk governance processes on behalf of Customer Programme Teams
- Capacity to translate ideas into practical, deliverable solutions
- Extensive experience in planning and managing project budgets with effective control mechanisms
- Team leadership and management expertise
- Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to all levels of an organisation
