Are you an experienced School Cook looking for immediate work in Sheffield? We have a fantastic temporary opportunity for a School Cook to join a school kitchen, covering for a staff absence due to sickness. You must be ready to start immediately and work daily until the staff member returns.
As a School Cook in Sheffield, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. The expected working hours are 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, though these may be confirmed closer to the start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals in a school kitchen
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and surrounding areas
- Follow all food safety regulations and standards
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Pay:
- £12.82 - £16.00 per hour, depending on the finalised role and your experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a School Cook or in a kitchen environment
- A valid food safety certificate
- An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to commute to schools in Sheffield
- Immediate availability and commitment to working daily throughout the sickness cover
