Inclusive Consulting is thrilled to partner with a well-established and growing company in Sheffield, renowned for its commitment to operational excellence. We are recruiting a detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance team in a permanent position. This role will be key to maintaining the company's cash flow, managing outstanding debt, and building strong relationships with customers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the credit control process, including chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and letter.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any disputes or discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and help to minimize overdue debts.
  • Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing and resolve any queries.
  • Prepare regular reports on aged debt and highlight any risks or issues to senior management.
  • Assist with month-end processes and contribute to the overall cash flow forecasting.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
  • A good understanding of credit control systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage challenging conversations and negotiate effectively.
