Position Overview:

General Overview: Elevation Recruitment Group’s – Marketing Division are pleased to be working with a SaaS business to recruit a Head of Digital Marketing reporting to the Product and Marketing Director. The Head of Digital Marketing will lead the digital marketing strategy, driving revenue growth equally through new business acquisition and the optimisation of opportunities within our existing customer base. This role will leverage in-platform techniques, customer journey mapping, and data-driven decision-making to deliver measurable results.

You will be responsible for optimising digital channels, improving the website and platform user journey, and managing lead generation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering digital growth for small to mid-sized companies and experience building and developing high-performing teams.

You will lead a small but growing team of digital marketers and CRO specialists, reporting directly to the Marketing Director and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment with business objectives. You must be based within one hour of our head office in Sheffield and have hands-on expertise with HubSpot as a core requirement.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Digital Marketing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that balances new customer acquisition with cross-sell and up-sell initiatives within the existing customer base.
  • Use customer journey mapping to optimise lifecycle marketing and in-platform techniques to enhance engagement and revenue growth.

Revenue Growth and Commercial Impact:

  • Drive revenue growth through multi-channel digital marketing, including PPC, SEO, paid social, email, and display advertising, with measurable success in both new business and customer expansion.

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO):

  • Own and refine CRO strategies to improve user journeys across the website and platform, enhancing engagement and conversion rates for both new and existing customers.

HubSpot and CRM Mastery:

  • Oversee all CRM and marketing automation strategies, ensuring optimal utilisation of HubSpot to drive lead generation, nurture campaigns, and customer retention.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Set and track KPIs for all campaigns, using data to make informed decisions and optimise marketing performance.
  • Deliver regular reports and insights to the leadership team, demonstrating ROI and continuous improvement.

Team Growth and Leadership:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a growing digital marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, learning, and results.
  • Scale the team to meet business growth demands while maintaining efficiency and delivering exceptional outcomes.

Stakeholder and Agency Management:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product, UX, and development, to ensure the platform and website are user-friendly, accessible, and SEO-optimised.
  • Manage external agency relationships to supplement in-house expertise where needed

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5–7+ years in a senior digital marketing role, with demonstrable success in growing small to mid-sized companies.
  • Proven expertise in demand generation, customer acquisition, cross-sell/up-sell, and lead generation strategies.
  • Strong experience in HubSpot as an essential tool for CRM, marketing automation, and customer journey mapping.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PPC, SEO, paid social, and email marketing strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset, coupled with a track record of achieving measurable results.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using tools such as Google Analytics and other marketing performance platforms.
  • Proven experience building and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be based within 1 hour of Sheffield and able to work on-site when required.

Qualificatopns:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in the education sector or a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience of marketing a business that offers memberships.
  • Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or similar platforms.
