Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a successful Financial Services business in Sheffield as they look to bring in a Risk & Compliance Manager in to the team. This is a newly created role and will be responsible for managing 1 member of staff. The company offer excellent benefits which include: -

Reporting to the Head of Risk, the main purpose of the role is to to develop and maintain the firms Operational Risk Framework and compliance monitoring program so that it remains compliant with its regulatory requirements.Other duties will include: - 

  • You will work closely with both the CFRO and Head of Risk as well as other members of the risk and compliance team, endorsing a collaborative approach to work
  • Management of Risk and Compliance Analyst; Helping to train and up-skill where required
  • Implement change programmes
  • Training, implementing and embedding changes to the oversight framework is a critical success measure
  • Interact with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Consider and form judgements on complex issues

To be successful, you will ideally have the following skills and experiences: -

  • Strong risk or controls background in financial services
  • In-depth knowledge of all elements of operational risk frameworks
  • Be highly experienced in risk management oversight and challenge
  • Possess a knowledge of third-party risk management
  • Compliance knowledge, including that of GDPR and FCA compliance would be an advantage
  • Be practical and proactive to ensure efficient analysis of operational risk data, monitoring and reporting
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal presentational skills, together with the ability to deliver complex technical information in a non-technical way
