Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our highly engineered solutions, they are seeking a motivated and skilled CAD Engineer to join our team.
Role Overview:As a CAD Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the design, development, and delivery of innovative products. Working within a dynamic Engineering team, you will contribute to new product introduction (NPI), optimise existing designs, and help improve processes to meet customer needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while furthering your career.
CAD Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Creating detailed and accurate standard and complex 3D models.
- Managing CAD file storage, organisation, and revision control to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Generating technical drawings, route card BOMs, and supporting documentation.
- Updating and maintaining project data in supporting spreadsheets.
- Tracking time spent on each project to assist in resource planning and process improvement.
- Ensuring CAD software and hardware are maintained and optimised for peak performance.
- Identifying and raising training requirements to ensure continual development.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards (e.g., AS9100) across drawings and supporting documents.
- Developing and maintaining standardised drawing templates for consistency and efficiency.
- Operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment, including monitoring consumable stock levels.
We are seeking Design / CAD Engineer candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- A degree or diploma in Engineering (e.g., BSc, BEng) is preferred but not essential.
- Proven proficiency and experience with SolidWorks is essential.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high levels of accuracy in all work.
- A proactive and resourceful attitude with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
