Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a Sheffield based, Mechanical Handling business to recruit a Draftsperson.
My client are industry leaders in the design, manufacture, and delivery of lifting and handling equipment. Their range of lifting and handling equipment is designed specifically to meet the needs of customers in more than 120 countries worldwide.
Due to ongoing success and growth, they are looking to enhance their engineering team by hiring skilled Draftsperson on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Draftsperson / CAD Engineer must be a strong team player with high levels of competency in Solidworks.
- Salary – £30,000 – £40,000 (Dependant on experience) – 37.5hrs/wk
- Annual leave – 24 days, increasing to max. 26 days (plus statutory bank holidays).

- Produce detailed drawings for bespoke lifting and handling equipment projectsÂ
- Compile technical files and supporting documentation to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.
- Prepare detailed BOM’s, work instructions, and operation & maintenance manuals.
- Manage PDM vault and templates.
- Assist with technical specification for suppliers
- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in the drafting / design a of lifting or materials handling equipment
- Proficient with SolidWorks 3D modelling software
- Understand the principles of engineering compliance and risk management.
- Confident command of written and spoken English for report writing and technical presentations
- Experience of fabrication design
