- Our client, an innovative manufacturer based in South Yorkshire, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and modify products while providing technical support.
- The ideal candidate will be a design graduate with two to three years of industry experience or an experienced engineer looking for career progression.
- Responsibilities include designing products, maintaining BOMs, and supporting the product lifecycle from design to production.
- Candidates should possess a mechanical engineering qualification and at least one year of experience in 3D modeling, along with strong IT skills.
- The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

- Design and engineer products to uphold company best practices
- Ensure that new product designs and any cost reduction designs achieve the target cost price, required launch date, and meet and legislative criteria
- Maintain and create BOM, a product specification, and maintain the company ERP system
- Remain involved in whole lifecycle of a product: liaise with quality department through design process, support production teams during manufacture potentially training assembly operatives, and speak to suppliers/customers where necessary
