Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately price new customer enquiries for structural steel, secondary steel, and architectural metalwork projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to develop competitive and profitable bids.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and market trends.
- Provide detailed cost breakdowns and reports to management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the structural steel, secondary steel, or architectural metalwork sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
