Early Career Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

Salary: £140 - £190 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education is looking for passionate and motivated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join schools in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience, receive mentorship, and develop your skills in a supportive school environment.
As an ECT, you will bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the classroom while building on your training. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced educators, deliver engaging lessons, and help students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of Early Career Teacher (ECT):- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Maintain strong classroom management and high expectations of student behaviour.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- PGCE with a subject specialism in secondary education.
- Completion of at least two training placements (with mandatory reference checks).
- Strong classroom management skills and adaptability.
- A genuine passion for education and inspiring young learners.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
