Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to start your teaching journey? Role Overview: As an Early Career Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach your subject specialisation while receiving guidance and mentorship to support your professional development. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students of varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and mentors to enhance student learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to refine your teaching practice.
  • Support and inspire students to develop a passion for learning in your subject area.

Requirements

  • Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in your subject specialism or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to supporting students’ success.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
