Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a friendly and motivated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in North Sheffield. The successful candidate will work on a 121 and small group basis working with primary aged students from EYFS to Year 6 with SEMH.

The hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm each day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Planning and Delivery: Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Support Pupils: Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assist in assessing pupils' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Participate in and sometimes lead extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to continually improve your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:
    • Experience working in a primary school or young people setting.
    • Understanding of the primary national curriculum.
    • Prior experience working with students with SEN including SEMH.
    • Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification desirable but not essential.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
