Orca Recruitment & Training Services Ltd is expanding and we have opened up a specialist Education division, we are looking for Teaching Assistants who are looking for temporary or permanent work.

The responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant role include:

Work with groups of children at various ages to support their learning.
Follow instructions and guidance provided by the class teacher.
Ensure children's safety both in and out of the classroom.
Supervise children during playtime and lunchtime.
Prepare classroom materials, including cutting, sticking, photocopying, and laminating.
Observe and provide feedback to the class teacher regarding children's learning.
Effectively manage off-task behaviours.

For the Teaching Assistant role you will need:

Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning in schools (NVQ Level 2 or 3) or equivalent
Personal skills and experience to be able to effectively support students
Ability to work effectively with challenging behaviour when it arises and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.
The ability to work on your own initiative and to work as a team player
