Orca Recruitment & Training Services Ltd is expanding and we have opened up a specialist Education division, we are looking for Teaching Assistants who are looking for temporary or permanent work.

The responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant role include:

  • Work with groups of children at various ages to support their learning.
  • Follow instructions and guidance provided by the class teacher.
  • Ensure children's safety both in and out of the classroom.
  • Supervise children during playtime and lunchtime.
  • Prepare classroom materials, including cutting, sticking, photocopying, and laminating.
  • Observe and provide feedback to the class teacher regarding children's learning.
  • Effectively manage off-task behaviours.

For the Teaching Assistant role you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning in schools (NVQ Level 2 or 3) or equivalent
  • Personal skills and experience to be able to effectively support students
  • Ability to work effectively with challenging behaviour when it arises and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and to work as a team player
