Teaching Assistant

I am currently supporting a 'Good' rated school in Sheffield who areseeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their support staff team for the full summer term. The successful candidate will work on a timetabled basis, in the Year 4 classroom and also out of the classroom providing 1:1 support to children with Special Educational Needs who have high support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to SEN children, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support the class teacher in delivering the KS2 curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record the progress of the children you support.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEN children.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Experience with the KS2 curriculum is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
