Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEN Provision, Sheffield (S26)

Academics are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEN provision in Sheffield. This is a full-time, long-term contract with the option of part-time or flexible opportunities within the school, depending on your preferences.

Teaching Assistant Role:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 3:30pm
Rate of Pay: £80-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Location: Sheffield (S26)

Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

Supporting students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they can access learning activities effectively.
Providing one-to-one and group support, working alongside class teachers and other support staff.
Helping to create a safe and nurturing learning environment tailored to individual needs.
Assisting with the development of personalised learning plans and ensuring pupils feel supported both academically and emotionally.
Managing classroom behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential: A relevant Level 3 qualification (Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is required for this role.
Experience as a teaching assistant or in a care-based role with children is highly desirable.
Previous experience in SEN provisions would be a bonus, but it's not essential.
A caring and patient nature with a passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
