Your new companyA social housing provider in Sheffield is looking for a Senior Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role but offers hybrid working and flexible working. 37 hours per week but working hours flexible between 7 & 7 to suit business need.A mix of working in the office (10%), from home (10%) and on-site visits (80%). £37,000 - £40,000 salary but with a pending pay award which should increase these bandings.Will need to use own vehicle for any site visits but mileage will be paid at 45p per mile. Your new roleMain duties include:

  • On-site quality assurance, defect inspection and handover procedures (smoke alarms, remedials, electrical testing, electrical upgrades etc.)
  • To deliver a contract administration service of the operational delivery of electrical servicing work (communal areas such as emergency lighting, CCTV, electric doors etc.)
  • Issue Site Instructions, variations and offer competent, sound technical advice
  • To participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering (but not limited to) contract administration service, operational delivery of onsite heating improvement works and an area based tenant and contractor liaison function

What you'll need to succeed

  • Must have relevant electrical qualifications (18th edition essential but other supporting qualifications are a bonus)
  • Social housing experience preferred but not essential
  • Ideally will have experience in a senior level role of some sort but isn't essential (team leader, advisory etc.)
  • Experience in contract/contractor supervision preferred
  • Own vehicle and insurance for business use essential
