Maintenance Electrician

Sheffield

The Maintenance Electrician provides a key role within the business. The successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated and have a problem-solving attitude.

The position is for 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, occasional flexibility may be required. May be required to cover typical morning and afternoon shifts as production needs dictate. Any shift working would receive additional shift pay.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience of working in an industrial environment.

Have knowledge and experience with both analogue and digital technology including Alan Bradley, Siemens and Fanuc. (Interrogation and fault diagnosis)

Programming knowledge for the above systems would be advantageous.

Factory and machine tool experience.

Knowledge of 3 phase systems, motors and PLC control.

Read and understand electrical drawings.

Design electrical installation.

Install distribution boards and consumer units.

Terminate cables to a range of devices, machine panels, contactors, PCB etc.

Diagnose and correct electrical faults.

Understand ladder diagrams.

Adjust and set electrical systems according to manufacturer's specifications.

Visually inspect circuit boards for broken tracks, damaged components, dry joints etc)

Experience with preventive maintenance activities.

Assist with identifying critical spares.

Be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and genuine interest in the job.

Have experience of working within a team.

Document actions by completing breakdown/ maintenance reports.

Ability to work under pressure.
