Peopleforce Recruitment are delighted to announce their partnership with a well established Technology Services and Network Solutions business in South Yorkshire. This company are looking for an experienced security engineer with a strong background in programming and installing CCTV and Door Entry systems. This is a senior position and will involve mentoring and overseeing other engineers. This will lead to further progression in the future and will boost your skill set even more!

  • Salary - Up to 40,000k per annum plus overtime opportunities at time and a half

Role and responsibilities

  • Hardware Installation: Install CCTV cameras, access control panels, card readers, biometric devices, and related hardware in compliance with design specifications and client requirements.
  • Cabling and Wiring: Run and connect necessary cabling, including power, video, and data cables, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Mounting and Positioning: Properly mount and align CCTV cameras for maximum coverage and clarity, considering factors like lighting and field of view.
  • System Integration: Integrate CCTV and access control systems with existing security infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • System Configuration: Program and configure CCTV systems and access control panels to meet specific security protocols and client needs.
  • Adherence to Standards: Ensure all installations comply with relevant industry standards, local regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential security risks associated with the installation and operation of CCTV and access control systems.
