Reed Business Support is delighted to be representing a fantastic company in the hunt for an Employment Advisor. This role is a key part of the Restart Scheme, a government initiative aimed at providing personalised support to help people find local employment and overcome barriers to work. As an Employment Advisor, you will make a lasting difference in people’s lives by helping them gain meaningful employment.

About the role: 

  • Coordinate and deliver advice, guidance, and training interventions tailored to the needs of unemployed individuals
  • Operate referral and liaison procedures with agencies such as JCP, local referral partners, colleges, employers, training providers, and recruitment agencies
  • Conduct one-to-one and group activities, including initial assessments, inductions, job search sessions, and follow-up appointments
  • Identify individual learning needs and refer customers to internal and external agencies for progression
  • Plan and deliver training and other interventions, supporting customers in planning and decision-making
  • Facilitate group learning sessions to improve employability and report any safeguarding concerns
  • Participate in activities supporting the team’s work, such as tender/bid writing and development of new services

About you:

  • Strong rapport building skills, professional and articulate
  • Experience in sales, customer service, welfare to work, hospitality, social care, retail, or similar customer-facing roles
  • Proficient IT skills, including MI systems, spreadsheets, diary management, and data security
  • Ability to work to Key Performance Indicators and challenging targets
