- Conduct detailed risk assessments of existing clients, monitoring for any changes to risk profiles.
- Liaise with partners and other stakeholders on client due diligence matters, providing guidance and addressing issues.
- Perform company and press searches to identify potential risk factors, including negative press or sanctions exposure.
- Support the Deputy Money Laundering Officer with general AML-related queries and the administration of client due diligence issues.
- Assist with research projects and day-to-day compliance tasks as regulatory requirements evolve.
- Ensure the firm’s client database is up to date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices and regulatory knowledge are shared across the department.
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional qualifications in KYC/AML/Compliance.
- Prior experience in a compliance role, particularly within a professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and the EU’s 5th Money Laundering Directive.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook) and familiarity with case management systems.
- Ability to research, analyze, and make informed decisions on risk and compliance matters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
