Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate new business enquiries, understand funding requirements, assessing opportunity and eligibility and presenting funding proposals on behalf of the company's clients to the market.
- Assist the client in identifying the most appropriate funding solution, establish the client/lender relationship and manage the application process to completion.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the lender panel.
- Oversee accurate recording on the lender platform, CRM systems and pipeline, including quotations.
- Work to establish the brand's presence in client and lender markets for the South Yorkshire/North Derbyshire region.
- Utilise product and market expertise to build an external pipeline of new target clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients and staff, increasing knowledge and understanding of the Commercial Finance offering to leverage cross-selling.
- Compliance with all mandatory policies and adherence to operational procedures to maintain internal controls.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a commercial finance or banking and finance role(s).
- Sound knowledge of the commercial finance market, products and solutions
- Experience in providing an efficient, friendly and professional point of contact for clients.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills utilised in a client management and business development setting.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated to build internal relationships across different service lines.
- Confident and articulate with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise workloads to meet strict deadlines.
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, along with a good working knowledge of industry. software such as back-office systems, platforms and illustration tools.
- Finance/banking industry qualifications (desired).
