Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a growing business based in South Yorkshire as they look to appoint an experienced Credit Risk Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a high-impact role where you'll provide both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership within the credit risk function. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and lead a talented team, helping the business manage risk effectively while enabling smart, sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly Credit Risk Review meetings and make informed risk decisions.
  • Manage credit assessments across various customer types, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Develop and enforce credit risk policies and define the overall risk appetite.
  • Drive improvements in systems, processes, and reporting to support credit risk management.
  • Monitor the customer portfolio and identify early signs of financial stress.
  • Deliver financial and market analysis to support high-value or complex decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of credit risk professionals.
  • Represent the credit function during internal and external reviews.
  • Handle high-risk or escalated cases, including direct engagement with senior customer representatives.
