The Opportunity

As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business. This is more than just a financial role – you will be a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the CEO and other senior stakeholders to influence strategy and guide decision-making. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the company’s financial health, supporting sustainable growth, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Providing strategic financial insight to support business growth
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Leading and developing the finance team
  • Managing relationships with banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders
  • Supporting investment initiatives and growth strategies
  • Leading the business through a time of change and dealing with all M&A and DD activity

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior financial leader, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic insight
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent
  • A track record of driving financial performance and contributing to business growth
  • Ideally experience of Private Equity / M&A activity
