Financial Controller | Sheffield | Hybrid (3 Days WFH)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a growing business during a key period of growth and restructuring. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you’ll be stepping in as an additional head to help steer the business through restructuring and expansion. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the heart of key financial operations. Cash flow management will be a big focus—you’ll take ownership of weekly forecasts and strategy presentations, working closely with the Head of Finance to keep everything running smoothly. With an audit process on the horizon, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring everything is prepared in advance.
You’ll also be responsible for pulling together consolidated management accounts across all entities, presenting your findings, and supporting board meetings by reviewing key financial packs. Payroll oversight (both UK and overseas), budgeting, margin reviews, and pricing strategies for new products will all sit within your remit. If you love building financial models, refining processes, and ensuring payments are watertight, you’ll feel right at home here.
As part of the team, you’ll also take on-line management responsibilities—offering daily support and guidance to ensure things run efficiently. You’ll play a key role in an upcoming ERP system upgrade and help shape the future of financial operations.

You’ll need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid experience in a senior financial role. Strong technical skills in cash flow management, financial consolidation, and audits are essential. But beyond the numbers, we’re looking for someone who’s a natural problem-solver, confident in decision-making, and ready to take ownership of key financial processes.
This role offers the best of both worlds—two days a week in our Sheffield office to collaborate with the team, and three days working remotely with the flexibility to focus.
