Want to use your finance skills to actually make a difference? We're looking for qualified accountants who can handle real responsibility across multiple schools in the South Yorkshire area, but based out of a main office in Sheffield 3 days per week (most of your meetings with Headteachers can be done online, but you will also be interested in getting out face to face as appropriate) This isn't about sitting quietly with a spreadsheet. You'll be:

Working directly with Headteachers who need your financial expertise
Tackling the fascinating complexity of funding (yes, fascinating - once you understand how it impacts young lives)
Leading financial strategy across multiple schools
Making decisions that directly affect educational outcomes

The role pays c£53,000 - 57,000, but also with a local government pension (really worth having, none of us are getting any younger!) and 32 days holiday plus statutory days so you will have time to enjoy a holiday properly! You'll need:

A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or significant practical accounting experience
Strong Excel skills
Experience managing complex budgets across multiple entities
The ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial people
A genuine interest in how schools work
