We are looking for applicants who can support and advise young people leaving care by helping them to find suitable accommodation, assistance in budgeting and spending decisions, education, employment and training by undertaking a high-quality needs assessment and pathway plans alongside social workers and working with other multi agency partners.

You will act as an advocate for young people and support them to make decisions for their future.

You will have significant experience of working with young people leaving care or in a related field with experience of multi-agency planning with a basic understanding of the law relating to the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and the Children and Social Work Act 2017.

You will have an understanding of adolescence in relation to developmental, familial, social and environmental factors that impact on young people's wellbeing. You will need to be an excellent communicator, understanding and encouraging resilience in young people; be able to negotiate and resolve conflict and problems.

You may be asked to travel and escort young people out of Sheffield and may have to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota, however additional payment will be made if you work out of hours.
