On behalf of a well-established and professional client, Reward Recruitment is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pensions and retirement planning, with a focus on helping individuals achieve a comfortable lifestyle in retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough financial research and analysis using tools such as Selectapension and FE Analytics
  2. Prepare comprehensive financial reports using Genovo report writing software
  3. Review and verify information provided by admin staff for accuracy and completeness
  4. Liaise with the administration team to gather missing information and assist with business submissions when necessary
  5. Utilise Intelliflo back office system for client management and record-keeping
  6. Analyse and provide recommendations for various investment vehicles, including ISAs and general investment accounts
  7. Challenge advisers on file notes or recommendation proposals that appear unsuitable
  8. Communicate with the compliance team regarding any concerns about advice suitability

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Proven track record as a Paraplanner in the financial services industry, with a focus on pensions and retirement planning
  2. Extensive knowledge of UK pension regulations and products
  3. Proficiency in using Intelliflo, Selectapension, FE Analytics, and Genovo software
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  6. Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  7. Understanding of compliance requirements in financial services

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Relevant financial planning qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning) - how experience is preferred and will pay for examination material and initial exams.

Working Arrangements: This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working, with some time required in our Sheffield office. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to work effectively both remotely and in-office.
