Moulder/Coremaker Position Sheffield Salary: £14 - £15.50 per hour +8% shift allowance 37.5 hours per week with a combination of morning and afternoon shifts. Adept are working with a leading manufacturer in the steel production and engineering sector, recognised globally for their expertise in producing high-quality steel forgings and castings. They are looking to add a Foundry Moulder/Core Maker to their extensive, state-of-the-art site in South Yorkshire! Role Overview: In this position, you will be responsible for producing cores and moulds of varying sizes using standardised methods and process documentation. You will work safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the foundry operation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce cores up to 60 tonnes using staple bars, rails, lifters, etc.
  • Cast moulds up to 650 tonnes in boxes and pits, following best practices and preparing them for casting.
  • Perform basic slinging tasks as required.
  • Participate in the casting process.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to uphold cleanliness and safety in the work areas.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Completed apprenticeship as a Moulder/Core Maker.
  • Previous experience in a similar Moulder/Core Maker role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with working in a foundry environment.
  • Ability to work at height and in high-temperature settings.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
