Permanent General Foreman
My client, a regional contractor specialising in the delivery of both Civil Engineering & Construction projects are currently looking to recruit an experienced General Foreman to join their Civils division.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the regions leading contractors, benefiting from local work.
The company offer a number of services to their clients across a range of sectors including Highways / Transportation, Structures, Drainage & Infrastructure, Public Realm + more.
General project values £1M-£10M
Duties
- Supervise and manage site operations, including subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinate and schedule work activities to meet project deadlines
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring efficient use of resources
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality standards
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of site activities and progress
Your profile
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or similar role in the civil engineering sector
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools
- Valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety qualifications
- Full UK driving license
