A very modern Accountancy firm in Sheffield are seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their dynamic Owner-Managed Business team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the team to deliver practical and actionable advice to clients, ensuring their businesses continue to move forward. You will assist in providing tailored accountancy solutions that cater to the specific needs of each business which vary from client to client.

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with clients, enabling you to nurture and strengthen valuable relationships. You will gain hands-on experience managing your own workload and have regular contact/recurring work with clients to help build these relations.

Responsibilites include:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts, for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Computations
  • Preparation and review of client VAT / MTD returns
  • Completion of bookkeeping in support of other work
  • Demonstrate commitment to timely completion of jobs
  • Demonstrate commitment to the completion of jobs to a high standard of accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop good organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ensure all client communications are dealt with in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Working towards AAT, ACCA or ACA
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a Practice background
  • Good results from GCSE/further study - to have shown genuine commitment to completion of studies to a high grade
