Machinist/ Bar Straightener
Job Summary
Working within the Conditioning department to perform all duties to straighten material using established methods and procedures, as well as supporting the charging process for Heat Treatment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate straightening equipment to relevant instructions.
- Loading and unloading of material
- Follow standard and accepted procedures
- Equipment setup and adjustments
- Perform relevant checks to maintain straightening requirements
- Carry out receipt inspection
- Operate band saws
- Operate cranes, FLT's & Sideloaders
- General Housekeeping duties
- Generate STOP cards
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Involvement in improvement activities
- Problem solving reports
- Method improvement
- Up keep of 5S
- Active participation in team meetings
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards
Please note this role also includes a bonus of up to 4k
