Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of an aerospace manufacturer to recruit a skilled and experienced Machinist / CMM Inspector.Location: Sheffield Shift: Mornings & AfternoonsSalary: £33,471 (including shift allowance) Role:The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, setting, and programming CNC machines, as well as performing precise inspection tasks using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).Responsibilities:- Set up, operate, and program CNC machines to produce components according to technical drawings and specifications.- Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using CMM and other measuring tools to ensure components meet quality standards.- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.- Maintain accurate records of inspections, measurements, and machine settings.- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve any machining or quality issues.- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.Qualifications and Skills:- Proven experience as a Machinist, CNC Operator, or similar role.- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines.- Experience with CMM inspection, including programming and operation.- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Good communication skills.If you are interested in this role please click apply or contact Amy or Nicola for more information
