Veritas Education are currently seeking a versatile and reliable General Cover Teacher to join various secondary schools in the Sheffield area.

The Role:
As a General Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Your main duties will include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across various subjects, ensuring continuity of learning.
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Supporting students' academic progress and well-being during cover lessons.
Adapting to different school environments and establishing rapport with students and staff quickly.
Providing feedback to the school on the progress of lessons and any issues that arise.
Ensuring all work set by the absent teacher is completed and submitted by students.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for confident and adaptable individuals who thrive in dynamic school settings. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
Experience teaching in a secondary school environment.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
Flexibility and adaptability to cover a range of subjects and year groups.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and positive attitude towards education and student development.
The ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff in different schools.
