Groundsperson

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Groundsperson with experience in the Sports Turf Industry to join a renowned sports club. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £25,000 - £35,000.

As a Groundsperson, you will ensure that the stadium and training ground playing surfaces are maintained to a high standard. This role plays a key part in preparing and maintaining the main stadium's Desso Grassmaster football pitch for all fixtures and events.

You will be responsible for:

• Mowing the pitch using both cylinder and rotary machinery.
• Aerating the football pitch using various equipment.
• Applying nutritional treatments to the surface.
• Carrying out renovation work as necessary.
• Maintaining the machinery on-site.
• Following Health & Safety best practices in all work undertaken.
• Preparing the pitch for use, including tasks such as cutting, marking, divotting, brushing, rolling, forking, sand application, seeding, and other pitch duties.

What we are looking for:

• Previously worked as a Groundsperson, Groundsman, Groundsperson, Grounds keeper or in a similar role.
• Experience within the Sports Turf Industry.
• NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management or currently pursuing.
• Ideally have Pesticides Applications certification (PA1, PA2 & PA6).
• Valid UK driving licence.
