Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be working in partnership with a large Aerospace business based within the Sheffield area. We are currently seeking an experienced Hydrobulge Operative to join the team at this exciting time of expansion. SALARY: £29,752.05 + 12.5% shift allowance = £33,471.05

WORKING HOURS: 2 shifts (mornings & afters) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate Hydrobulge Equipment: Set up, operate, and monitor hydrobulging machinery to form metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of hydrobulging equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete production records, logs, and reports as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and quality inspectors, to optimize production processes and resolve any issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement and participating in team meetings.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience: Previous experience in operating hydrobulging or similar metal forming machinery is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of metal forming processes and experience with high-pressure equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise measurements and quality checks.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical skills for equipment setup, adjustment, and maintenance.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
