M&E Lead Engineer - Facilities Management - Sheffield - £40,000 plus Van plus excellent benefits.

Are you an experienced M&E Lead Engineer with experience in the Building Services industry?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a National Facilities Management company working for one of their prestigious clients covering from Sheffield to Chippenham.

Salary: £40,000 plus van plus excellent benefits plus overtime and on call allowance.

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus BH, On call allowance, flex benefits scheme

Hours of work: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Sheffield, Covering Sheffield to Chippenham

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers supporting across a group of mobile locations. You will participate in assigned long-term preventative maintenance programs and projects.
  • Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.
  • Assisting the M&E Supervisor in providing accurate record keeping, including completed test sheets, routine rounds inspection sheets and work dockets containing durations of maintenance activities and observations.
  • Demonstrate qualities to deliver the contract requirements through effective communication, training and personal development.
  • Assist the M&E Supervisor in maintaining an up-to-date training database for you, and your line managed staff.
  • Provide regular updates to the M&E Supervisor on workload and job completion progress.
  • Undertake annual staff One 2 One meetings and regular recorded welfare and progress updates with line managed staff.

The successful person:

  • Minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering or time served technical apprenticeship.
  • Qualified to 18th edition electrical C&G or Mechanical C&G certificate would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a building service environment.
  • Articulate, numerate and IT literate.
  • Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law preferred.
  • Be commercially aware and have a reasonable knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation, and management.
  • Good all-round knowledge of Facility Management and Building Services Engineering.
  • A full UK Driving licence.
