Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic part-time Year 6 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Sheffield on a part-time basis. This role requires a dedicated educator with a passion for inspiring young learners, particularly in their crucial final year of primary education. You will be teaching Year 6 students for two days a week, helping them to reach their potential and prepare for the transition to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 6 pupils, following the national curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for SATs by reinforcing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and comprehension.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing support where needed to ensure individual needs are met.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning and development.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
- A solid understanding of the primary curriculum and SATs preparation.
- Strong classroom management skills and a flexible, positive approach to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
