Production Operative required. Our client is looking for a hardworking and hands-on Meat Production Operative to join our end-of-production team. In this role, you'll be responsible for picking, packaging, and preparing meat products for dispatch. The role will also involve loading vans, so you will need to be physically fit, proactive, and willing to get stuck in. This is a fast-paced, team-focused position where reliability and attention to detail are key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all meat products are packaged and labelled correctly, ready for dispatch. Ensure quality control standards are met before sending products out.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vans, ensuring all products are secured and delivered according to schedule. This involves lifting and handling meat products safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect products before they leave the production floor, ensuring that any defects or inconsistencies are addressed before dispatch.
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, including maintaining cleanliness in the production and loading areas. Clean equipment, tools, and workspaces regularly.
  • Work with the team to ensure the production process runs smoothly and all targets are met. Flexibility to support other team members as required.
  • Assist with stock management, keeping track of inventory levels, and ensuring items are stored in an organized manner for easy access.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a hands-on production, warehouse, or logistics environment (meat production experience is beneficial but not essential).
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations in a food production or warehouse setting.
  • A proactive, "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude - ready to get stuck in and contribute to the success of the team.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • This role is physically demanding, requiring lifting, bending, and carrying products.
  • Full training will be provided.

Package:

  • £25,000 - £30,000 (Dependent on experience)
  • Monday - Friday 07:30 - 16:30.
  • 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
