Repairs Coordinator - Local Authority

Join our team as an RMS Coordinator, where you will support Team Leaders across various departments including Responsive Repairs, Planned, HM&E, and Voids teams. This role is crucial in ensuring that resources are aligned with operational activities, contributing to high performance and continuous improvement in our Sheffield S2 office.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the assignment of repairs using an electronic diary system.
  • Manage the scheduling of repairs to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and records are kept accurate.
  • Access and update various IT systems to ensure appropriate resource assignment.
  • Gather information on operatives' availability and job assignments.
  • Maintain both electronic and paper records, including asset management and safety information.
  • Handle incoming calls professionally, resolving specific and general inquiries.
  • Make outbound calls to resolve issues or update customers and workforce.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders and other officers to monitor and improve performance.
  • Prepare professional communications to colleagues, partners, and customers.
  • Organize and prioritize workload, responding to customer demands and planned work.
  • Diagnose and assign repairs using a diagnostic system or individual knowledge.
  • Coordinate subcontractors through contractor portals and manage related administration.
  • Keep customers/tenants informed about the progress of work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of operational repairs and maintenance services.
