School Caretaker

As a School Caretaker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the school remains a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students and staff. This is a full-time position with an immediate start date, offering competitive pay and the chance to make a real difference in the daily operations of a thriving school community.

• Performing general maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of school facilities.
• Ensuring the premises are secure, including locking/unlocking buildings and setting alarms.
• Managing health and safety compliance, such as fire alarm checks and risk assessments.
• Supporting with cleaning and waste management.
• Assisting with setting up rooms for school activities and events.
• Liaising with contractors and suppliers as required.

• A proactive, organised, and flexible individual with a strong work ethic.
• Previous experience in a caretaker or site management role is desirable.
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and contractors.
