Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working with students who have experienced barriers to mainstream education and a passion for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students in the PRU setting.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development as well as their academic growth.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to encourage learning and development.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that meets the specific needs of each student.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working in a PRU or with students who exhibit challenging behaviour.
Strong understanding of strategies to engage and support students with various needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
