Commercial office fit-out

This position would be ideal for someone who has recently graduated and looking to pursue a career in Estimating. Particularly in the commercial office fit-out world.

Estimators in the fit-out sector are few and far between so you would be in high demand. Estimators are also incredibly valuable in this sector because they are the first point of contact between the contractor and client.

As time goes on and you pursue this position you could have an incredible career infront of you.

Specifically this company are regarded highly and would teach you the role with no stone unturned, plenty of opportunity to develop and learn off senior people in the business and shadow them.

The Role

Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement

Work within established commercial and operations team in preparation of competitive tender offers

Undertake site visits to establish and verify asset information provided as part of the tender documentation

Undertake a full analysis of tender returns received during the tender process

Attend start-up pre-price and price meetings

Project locations across the UK

A sound knowledge and understanding of JCT contracts, and demonstrable experience of running interior fit out works contracts is preferable

Typically, the role will involve the management of multiple contracts concurrently, so the ability to manage time efficiently is critical

Previous experience of working on constructions contracts is useful, though not essential

Ability to review contracts, contract ammendments, and identify risks to the business is useful

methodical and well organised approach to financial management of the project (s)

Internal handover with sales and operation

Procurement of subcontract packages - LPM / Labour only / materials supply

The Ideal Candidate

It's not necessary that you have experience in commercial offices but must understand the basics of estimating and have a desire to enter this industry sector.
