Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a leading engineering business in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a HSE Manager to cover their UK Operations. The business have a global reach across multiple different industries and are keen to look at an experienced HSE professional with a background in heavy engineering. 

As HSE Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across the business. You’ll work closely with site leadership, operational teams, and external stakeholders to implement best practices, conduct risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Implement corporate HSE policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
  • Lead accident investigations and develop preventative measures.
  • Provide coaching and support to operational teams on EHS best practices.
  • Drive a positive safety culture through engagement and leadership.
  • Maintain environmental compliance and waste management processes.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, including the HSE and Local Authorities.
  • Keep up to date with legislation and industry developments.
  • Produce management reports and safety statistics.
  • Support emergency response planning and first-aid coordination.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in health, safety, and environmental compliance, ideally within manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment and root cause analysis.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
