Biology Teacher (Secondary School)
Location: Sheffield
Pay Scale: £170- £200 per day
Start: September 2024
Contract: Full-Time
GSL education is looking for a Biology Teacher with the ability to teach Physics and Chemistry at KS3. We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students and foster a love for science across multiple disciplines.
Job summary: As a Biology Teacher, you will deliver effective lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, sparking their interest in the natural world and biological sciences. Additionally, you will teach Physics and Chemistry at KS3, helping students develop a solid foundation in these essential scientific subjects.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Biology lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Ability to teach Physics and Chemistry at KS3
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
- Foster a positive classroom environment where every student feels encouraged and motivated.
- Offer students assistance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Biology, Science or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Biology at KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to teach Physics and Chemistry at KS3 is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
